I am very pleased to be able to offer my glued rig bodies for general sale. They are exactly as I use and can be made up to make a whole range of different rigs, from bream fishing and mackerel pop up fishing to fishing for flatties like sole, plaice and flounders. Simply add your own snood, hooks and pop ups if you're using them and you're good to go. I understand all too well that making the rig bodies can be the most time consuming and difficult part of the rig making process, so hopefully these will help!
These bodies are made from the same high quality stainless steel swivels and clips that we sell in the shop and I use myself.
Understanding the lingo:
- 2U1D - This means 2 up 1 down. So you'll have two snood swivels up the rig body (one at the top and one in the middle) and one down the rig body (right above the lead clip, allowing the snood to trail below the weight).
- 90 - This means there's a 90cm gap inbetween the snood swivels. This determines the maximum snood length you can use on this rig body. You can, of course, use shorter if you wish.
- 0.50 - This is the diameter of the monofilament rig body in mm. 0.50mm is my go to rig body size for most of my general flapper work when fishing for most small to medium species. This rig body is suitable for casting with leads up to 150g if you are using a three piece "conti" style rod. Less if you are using a two piece rod.
